Dallas @ Philadelphia Betting: NFC East battle could turn into a high scoring game on Sunday night

The ‘Dream Team’ of Philadelphia face an important test in the Sunday Night Football this week when they entertain improving Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field. Philadelphia managed a much needed win over Washington two weeks ago before their bye last week and they know they have to keep winning matches if they are to make the playoffs, especially divisional matches such as this. Dallas made it 3-3 for the season with a win over the Rams last week making this a really key match in the NFC East.

The Eagles will go in front of Dallas if they win this match and they will hope their potent players in Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy come back from the bye in good order. Ironically for a team dubbed the ‘Dream Team’ by linebacker Asante Samuel it is on their defense where they have to show their dream team spirit and really show up to the plate. DeSean Jackson will be a key man for the Eagles as is usually the case.

Dallas won big last week and the worry from a Philadelphia point of view was the form of the rookie running back DeMarco Murray who was filling in for the injured Felix Jones. He rushed for 253 yards last week and Philadelphia could hardly stop the run before the bye week. If they do improve in that area then Tony Romo has plenty of options to throw the ball to not least in Jason Witten and Dez Bryant.

I think this will be a high scoring match. Both sides have good offenses and while both defences can play tight they can be exposed too which I see being the case in this match. Both Quarterbacks can let the ball go while the running games for both sides are in good order too. At 48pts we don’t need a shootout for this line to be covered and as I think it’s a touch on the low side I will take the overs here.
