North Carolina Governor Considering Video Gambling Expansion

Gambling is how many states have been invigorating their economies, and North Carolina may become the next state to incorporate gambling as a new form of revenue. North Carolina Governor Beverly Perdue has recently announced that she will consider expanding the legal forms of gambling in the state.

Perdue, in interviews, has not been outspoken against requesting the legislature make video poker machines legal once more.

Party Poker Alters Rake Structure

According to many reports in online poker circles, Party Poker are in the process of completely changing their rake structure for their cash games and so far the response to this has been nothing but negative. Currently Party Poker uses the “dealt” method but by the end of today (August 24) they will have switched to “weighted contributed.”

APPT Queenstown: German in huge lead!

In case you missed it: Asia Pacific Poker Tour is running in Queenstown since a few days ago. Already 2 days of the Main Event are in the books, and 21 players will return to play Day 3 in a couple of hours. There are only 3 players left that aren’t from Australia and New Zealand. The chip leader is one of them.

Marcel Schreiner, from Germany, has played fantastic poker so far and has accumulated a stack of 453,800 – more than double the amount of chips as the players in second place, Tom Grigg from Australia.

Mizrachi Brothers Hit South Florida’sTop Poker Room

Talk about guys with juice…Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi who won the World Series of Poker $50,000 Players Championship this past summer stopped by Maridi Gras Casino’s Big Easy Poker Room last week with the rest of Team Mizrachi. Along with “The Grinder” was his brother Robert also a big time pro and their two other bros Eric and Donnie Mizrachi. They were joined by David “Chino” Rheem and Issac “The General” Galaban.

At the 2010 World Series of Poker “The Grinder”, was awarded $1,559,043, his first gold bracelet, and the Chip Reese Memorial Trophy.
