Here comes snow again but thankfully not the Big Freeze
February 18th, 2011 | by Jessica Teakle |The latest spate of snow, cloudy skies and chilling rains have brought back the fears of the Big Freeze with part of the UK still blanketed by over four inches of snow. First it was Derbyshire, Yorkshire and Durham being covered in snow with more forecast by the Met Office in the Midlands and North West for today.
Just last week when the Met Office people gave out their warning they were trashed by many people who thought they never get it right. Even when they do get their forecasts right they’re always thought to be too late with December being the case in mind. However, this time around they might just have some reassurance for us when they say it won’t be as bad as December. While temperature is rising just a bit with a slight thawing during the daytime the refreezing conditions which follow at night make it even worse forming ice as well. What will probably make it even more difficult is the return of the cold weather next week after this slight warming.
With half term holidays here and children to keep busy and active as well Posh Bingo brings you a half term promotion that will keep everyone happy.
