January 21st, 2012A total of 2,995 players entered Event #23 ($153 NLHE 6-Max Hyper Turbo) and generated a prize pool of $449,250 – more than double the guarantee. The hyper turbo structure forced players to make quick decisions and the action was crazy to say the least. Only 46 minutes into the tournament the money bubble happened and all remaining 391 players were guaranteed $260 each.
Then it only took about 20 minutes before 7 tables remained, and at the 1.5-hour mark only 3 tables. It didn’t take long before the tournament was down to only 1 table. When 3 players remained, the tournament went on a break as deal was discussed.
